In search of Participants for Fully funded New Program Focused on Sustainable Employment

Surrey, BC – Levra is announcing a Dual Course program that will provide skills training to twenty participants residents of British Columbia focusing on Early Childhood Care and Education Assistant training. Applications are ongoing, and training begins on February 14, 2022.

 

The training program is eligible for Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons entitled to work in Canada with a minimum Grade 12 completion. The twenty participants will each earn a diploma towards the completion of the program. The potential wage for these in-demand and high-priority occupations by the government is up to $29/hour.  The program is a partnership with Western Community College. Program funding comes from the Province of British Columbia.

 

The program includes a practicum of 4 to 6 weeks from partner-employers, and participants will receive short-term certifications (First Aid, Food Safe, POPARD, and more). There is also employment support and practicum placement after training to reputable daycares and preschools.
